INTERNATIONAL WORKPLACE TO DOUBLE ITS FOOTPRINT IN NIGERIA IN 2025 AS DEMAND FOR FLEXIBLE AND PLATFORM WORKING CONTINUES TO ACCELERATE

IWG is set to operate 20 flexible workspaces across Lagos, Abuja, Owerri and Kano by December 2025, reflecting confidence in Nigeria’s economy, as more and more companies adopt flexible and platform work 

IWG Nigeria signs its first portfolio deal with Alternative Bank, highlighting the multi-site demand for landlords to capitalise on flexible workspaces

The multi-location deal comes on the heels of International Workplace Group signing 899 new locations globally in 2024, and posting record revenue, EBITDA, and cash generation

International Workplace Group, the world's largest platform for work with brands including Spaces and Regus, is set to open seven new state-of-the-art flexible workspaces in Nigeria between July and December  2025, effectively doubling its footprint of ten flexible workspaces to 20 and expanding beyond Lagos and Abuja to the cities of Owerri and Kano. The two Regus and five HQ centres add an additional 4,780 square metres of rentable area to keep pace with rising demand across Nigeria. 

The new centres opening include:

HQ Lekki Link Bridge, Lagos (opened July 2025)

HQ Ogunlana Drive, Lagos (opening October 2025)

HQ Allen Avenue, Lagos (opening November 2025)

HQ Bank Road, Owerri (opening November 2025)

HQ Zoo Road, Kano (opening November 2025)

Regus Number One, Lagos (opening November 2025)

Regus Garki 2, Abuja (opening November 2025)

Four of the new HQ centres are the result of IWG Nigeria’s first portfolio/multi-site deal with Alternative Bank, a subsidiary of Sterling Bank.

The expansion in Nigeria comes on the heels of the business posting its highest-ever revenue, cashflow and earnings growth in its history and achieving rapid network growth, signing 899 new centres to its network in 2024 and opening 624 new workspaces.

Research by leading academics has found that greater flexibility over how and where employees work offers a multitude of benefits for workers, including enhanced work-life balance, financial savings, and health benefits.
