Agege Diamond Lions Club Installs Kemi Winnie As their 1st Female, 2nd President Of the Club

Lion Club, as it is well known in its formation of their various categories to facilitate humanitarian service delivery, Agege Diamond Lions Club, District 404B-1, has appointed Lion Lawal Oluwakemi Winnie NLCF, as the Ist Female and 2nd Club President of Agege Diamond Lions Club for 2020/2021 Lions  year.


In his welcome address, the Chairperson Lion ESV Sodeinde Oladele Sunday appreciates Lion Oluwakemi Winnie for her steadfastness adding that he is optimistic that the newly inducted president would take the club to an enviable position.




He emphasised that one of the aims as the world best humanitarian club is to meet the needy people enumerating their achievements, especially in the area of  construction of Modern Toilet for students and teachers of all Saint Inclusive Special School, construction of conducive classroom for the Special Student Class and other community needs project within Agege.


Lion Shodeinde said the club would continue to promote harmony and serve humanity to merit a reputable for quality of service adding that there is need to donate generously to Foster development throughout the nooks and crannies of their jurisdiction.


The Outgoing  President, Agege Diamond Lions Club, Lion Comrade Otunba Anifowose Felix Toyin, NLCF, added  in his valedictory Speech that the Club under his tutelage has made a significant impact in the area of Blood Donation/ Save  a life Programme,retreat  and training in which over 85percent of the members were exposed to it.

"In the areas of relieving hunger, the club visited an orphanage home with the distributions of food and drinks items, the district functions are also included in the participation of Cabinet Meetings, Trainings and Workshops, Hellen Keller day and World induction day," Outgoing President added.

Lion Anifowose, further reiterates that out of the core projects, a visit to a school during the World Disable Day which helped in carving a deep community assessment of the students in the school which occassioned the joint decision to build a well equipped classroom and toilets for the schools, now awaiting the approval.

He thanked the members for their supports so far especially PGD Lekan Babalola NCLF PMJF also IPDG Bernard Eborieme NCLF PMJF and Lion Opeyemi Akintola NLCF CGL for their concerted efforts towards making the tenure, a success.

Lion Lawal Oluwakemi Winnie NLCF, in her acceptance speech gave  thump up for the Outgoing President, Lion Anifowose who introduced her to Ota Diamond Club adding that as the first female President, the club would witness a catapulted change which in no doubt would occassioned a perfect transformation and espouse reachness of humanitarian service delivery to most of the areas in Agege.

"With the support of my excos line up and fellow club members, I will do my best to maintain the legacy of the club and increase in both membership growth and render quality services.We further aim at being the global leader in the community and humanity service because where there is a need, there's a lion", she said.

The new President added that, the key aims of service is to key into district and global causes projects which involve : Diabetes, vision, feeding the hungry, protecting our environment and pediatric cancer saying clothing any feeding primary school pupils in our community are Paramount.

The District Governor, Lion Lynda Odunmbaku, PMJF, NLCF urged Agege Diamond Club to key-in into the District Projects charging them to increase the membership strength of the club by 21percent, alleviate sufferings of diabetics, provide vision for the blind and impaired, give food to the hungry amongst others
