SENATOR MARTINS KUYE’S DEMISE, A COLOSSAL LOSS -ABIODUN

Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has described the death of Senator Martins Kuye, whom he called his political father, as not only a great loss to the State, but to him as a person.

Governor Abiodun who stated this when he paid a condolence visit to the family of the deceased at Ago-Iwoye, noted that late Martins Kuye was his political father, as his political journey started in his house in the late 1990's.

"I call myself a political son of the late distinguished former Minister. I recall that I started my political journey in this house in the late 1990s. He was a great son of Ago-Iwoye, Ijebuland and a great patriot of Nigeria.

" I have also come as the chief servant of this State. I bring the deepest condolence of this great State. I got the news yesterday, but decided to pay my respect to this exceptionally brilliant, dedicated, distinguished and accomplished son of the State", he said.

Prince Abiodun observed that the late former Minister was a great politician that represented the State meritoriously both at the National Assembly and at the Federal Executive Council, as a junior and senior Minister.

"The late Martins Kuye, whom we all called JMK, was an icon. His loss is a great one to Ogun State. We join the family in praying to God who knows the end from the beginning to accept his soul and grant him eternal rest", Abiodun prayed.

While praying to God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the sad and irreplaceable loss, Governor Abiodun assured them of the government's support in honouring the late senator.

Responding on behalf of the family, the son of the deceased, Mr. Mobolaji Martins Kuye, described his father as a kind-hearted man who impacted lives positively, adding that he was a great leader who contributed immensely to the development of his environment.

He appreciated the Governor for the visit, saying it would go a long way to lessen their burden and help in alleviating the painful loss.
