OGUN SEEKS MORE COLLABORATION WITH PRIVATE SCHOOLS

 Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Science and Technology, Prof. Abayomi Arigbabu has emphasised the need for private schools to complement effort of the government, to meet the yearnings of the people in providing sound education.




Prof. Arigbabu made this known during the visit of the Association of International School Educators of Nigeria (AISEN), to his office in Abeokuta, saying their involvement would help government achieve its goals in the sector.

The Commissioner said the present administration believed in consultations that would promote educational development, noting that the Association is a partner in progress for the successful implementation of government’s policies and programmes on education.

"The visit will make us to understand ourselves better, we can set tone for standard together, you can help us to achieve government’s goals in the sector, we can achieve basic minimum standards together, and I am looking forward to a fantastic relationship with you", Arigbabu said.

Speaking earlier, the representative of the AISEN, Ms. Abiola Lamikanra, assured the Ministry of unflinching support, to ensure that highest standard of education that the State is known for is sustained.

Ms. Lamikanra described the educational policies of the State government as one that is capable of ensuring total transformation of the system, appealing for an established forum, to discuss educational matters in the State.
