Residents of 11 communities under Itolu Community Development Council (CDC), in Yewa South Local Government Area, who have been in darkness for the last five years have given the thumbs up to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for providing them a 500 KVA transformer.
Speaking with OGIS correspondent in Ilaro, the Chairman of the CDC, Mr. Odetunde Bashir expressed happiness over the gesture, which would help restore power supply, describing Governor Abiodun as a silent achiever and a community cum grassroot leader.
"I want to give kudos to our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun for giving us the 500 KVA transformer. The Governor is a community and grassroots leader who understands the needs of communities. Sincerely, Governor Abiodun is a silent achiever.
‘’He has implemented programmes and projects that have contributed to the development of many communities and lives across the State. Without mincing words, the 11 Community Development Associations (CDAs), under the Itolu Community Development Council have been in total darkness for five years before the intervention of the Governor", he said.
Speaking in the same vein, the Chairman of Ifelagba CDA, described the Governor as a man of his words who fulfils promises, urging residents to continue supporting his government.
Benefiting CDAs include, Ifesowapo, Orelope, Ajewole, Express and Adun, Ife, Progress, Orisunmbare, Orile-Itolu, Mercy, Mega and Iderade.
