Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun has been commended for the existing peaceful atmosphere across the state.


The All Progressive Congress aspirant contesting for position of Executive Chairman, Yewa South Local Government in the state, Hon. Adebayo Salami popularly known as LAS who gave the commendation during a get together party organized to celebrate the year 2021 Eid-Il-Fitr in Ilaro the capital city of Yewaland, stated that the efforts of the State Government at providing security equipment and vehicles including the administration's zero tolerance for crime was yielding positive result.


The Local Government Chairmanship aspirant added that the establishment of Amotekun Security Corps and immediate response of the government to security challenges in the State was an impetus to the peaceful atmosphere being enjoyed by the dwellers of the State.


He called on leaders and individuals in the country to always assist their neighbours most especially, the poor ones which according to him would reduce the crime rate and engender peaceful coexistence of Nigerians.


According to Salami, "I want to commend the effort of our Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun towards ensuring that we have peace in our State. He has shown us that he has zero tolerance for crime hence, the provision of security vehicles and equipment for the security agencies including the establishment of Amotekun.


"Let me use this opportunity to enjoin us to be useful to our neighbors most especially the poor by assisting them at all times. According to Prophet Muhammed, we should not be selfish but, selfless and kind to everyone around us. It is by so doing that crime rate will be reduced".


While assuring the people of the Local Government of his commitment to the socioeconomic and infrastructure development of the area if elected, Hon. Salami called on Muslims to continue to pray and support the current administration in the State, adding that the government was doing a lot to make life meaning for the people.


Appreciating Allah for the successful Ramadan fasting, LAS implored Muslims to move more closer to Allah and not allow anything to tempt them into going back to any sinful act they might have dropped during the Ramadan fast, with a call that they should not relent at praying for the success of Gov. Dapo Abiodun in office. #
