OGSG REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING BUSINESS-FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT

  The Prince Dapo Abiodun administration in Ogun State remains committed to the growth and development of the State and for this reason, it would continue to take steps to improve Gross Domestic Product (GDP), formulate and implement friendly policies that would attract more investors to the State.


The State Deputy Governor, Engr. Noimot Salako-Oyedele made this affirmation in Abeokuta, while commissioning new vehicles, motorcycles, furniture and other equipment, to enhance work efficiency of the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment, as part of measures towards achieving a distinct increase in the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) and progress in the ranking of ease of doing business indicator.

Engr. Salako-Oyedele urged officers in charge of Business Premises Permit and Registration to be alive to their responsibilities, as representatives of the State government, saying, "as we all know that to whom much is given, much is expected. Therefore, I look forward with high expectation, to a distinct increase in the IGR and progress in Ogun State's ranking in the ease of doing business indicator”.    

In his remarks, Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi, stated that the government was making effort towards transforming the Ministry, adding that the initiative would improve productivity and enhance service delivery.

Also speaking, the Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Ottun, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Service Matters, Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye, advised the officers to make judicious use of the equipment for effective service delivery.

In her welcome address, Commissioner in the Ministry, Mrs. Kikelomo Longe, said the items would serve the 21 zonal offices across the 20 Local Government Areas of the State, noting that her Ministry is collaborating with relevant agencies to establish desk outlets in some of the key zonal offices in Ado-Odo/Ota, Ijebu-Ode and Abeokuta.
