The Ogun State Government has assured residents, especially those in areas where road construction works are ongoing of prompt restoration of electric facilities and power supply.

The Special Adviser to the Governor on Energy, Engr. Lolu Adubifa who gave the assurance in Abeokuta, during a chat with OGIS correspondent disclosed that Governor Dapo Abiodun had directed his agency to ensure that the people of the State were not subjected to undue hardship, as a result of the relocation of electrical infrastructure during the construction works.

Engr. Adubifa revealed that the recent relocation of electric poles and other infrastructures along the 4km Adatan-Gbonagun road was undertaken and completed within five weeks, adding that the project also included the relocation of three transformer substations, which had varied lengths of 33kv, 11kv and 0.415kv cabling.

According to him, the projects were divided into various phases and a plan was developed to ensure that no community was affected by the removal and relocation of electrical facilities.

He noted that the approach, which worked seamlessly would be used in other areas, as the State embarks on multiple road construction projects, such as the Olusegun Osoba road in Agbado and Atan/Lusada road in Agbara axis.
