Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun re-affirmed that his administration will be just and fair to every citizen with equal distribution of infrastructures among the three regions of the State.



Prince Abiodun who gave the assurance during the second session of the 11th Synod of the Diocese of Yewa Church of Nigeria, held at All Saints Church, Leslie, Ilaro, Yewa South Local Government, promised to complete all inherited projects across the State.


He added that the first two set of roads constructed by his administration were in Ado-Odo Ota and the most expensive one embarked upon is Agbara -Atan-Lusada road while the award of Papalanto-Ilaro-Sagamu road for repair is at final stage, saying Imasayi,  Imeko and Ipokia roads were also due for repair. 


"Let me assure you that our government will be just, fair and equity to everyone and the three regions of the State. Our government is an inclusive government that would not discriminate against anybody and I assure you that I will not develop any region at the expense of the others", he assured.


On security, Governor Abiodun described Ogun as the most peaceful State in the country and pointed out that the South-West Security outfit launched recently was for Ogun West region, revealing that the Joint Security Intervention Squad (JSIS) comprising of different security agencies set up at the inception of the present adminstration was a quick response mechanism to address insecurity in some parts of the State.


Speaking earlier at the Synod with the theme, "But they that wait upon the Lord", the Bishop of the Diocese, Rt. Reverend Michael Oluwarohunbi commended the Governor for his administration's productiveness for the ongoing good work across the state saying, "We wish to use the platform of this synod to, sincerely, commend the proactive administration of His Excellency for the work done so far. The courage of our Governor to run all inclusive and participatory government is unique and commendable."


The Bishop noted that, besides the road projects going on across the state, numerous other building projects were springing up at public schools and other places with Yellow roofs as an identity of Governor Abiodun's initiatives which he said was making the State to wear a new look.


He thanked the Governor for giving the State Hospital, Ilaro a facelift both in outlook and service delivery, expressing delight that Yewa and in particular Ilaro is among the areas benefitting from this administration's middle level housing estate.
