The Chairman, Transition Committee, Yewa South Local Government, Alhaji Rahmon Fagbenro has assured of the welfare of Local Government workers, in order to boost their morale and productivity, this would help in the effective implementation of laudable programmes of the present administration for the development of the grassroots.


Alhaji Fagbenro who gave the assurance in Ilaro, during a retirement programme organised for the council's Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA), Ms. Iyabo Ayorinde, said his administration would always reward committed, dedicated and hardworking staff.

He described the retiring HOLGA as an efficient and responsible administrator, who had discharged her duties responsibly to the Local Government, imploring other staff of the council to emulate her good qualities.

“We are celebrating the outgoing HOLGA today because of her selfless attitude and hardwork while in service. She is dedicated to efficient service delivery, very approachable, accommodating and friendly. I am very sure that we are going to miss her”, the Chairman said.

Also speaking, the Director of Information in the Local Government, Mr. Sakiru Olopade said Ms. Ayorinde was a disciplinarian, a caring mother, hardworking, selfless administrator and a mentor, who had impacted positively in the lives of the people and the society in general.

Responding, the retiring HOLGA who noted that it was a privilege to contribute to the growth and development of the Local Government and the State at large, appreciated the Chairman, other council members and the staff for their support while in service.

Ms. Ayorinde urged the staff to continue to put in their best for the betterment of the people and the Local Government, noting that with hardwork and dedication, they would get to the peak of their careers.
