CONDOLENCE:ABIODUN’S ASSOCIATES SPEAK ON THE INEVITABILITY OF DEATH, NEED TO TRAIN CHILDREN

Death is an inevitable end, as all living things would one day die, no matter how long they live, Yobe State Governor and Chairman, Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee of the All-Progressive Congress (APC), Mai Mala Buni has reaffirmed.

Governor Buni, accompanied by the Chairman, Progressive Governor's Forum, Abubakar Bagudu and his Jigawa State counterpart, Abubakar Mohammed made this assertion when he paid a condolence visit to the Iperu residence of the Abioduns.

Buni noted that death, an inevitable end, would come when it would, as all humans are on transit and no one would live forever, saying the visit was to sympathise and encourage Governor Abiodun and his family on behalf of all members of the All-Progressives Congress in the country and urged them to always take solace in the fact that death would surely come one day.

On her part, wife of a former President, Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, has admonished parents to give their children best education to enable them be useful to themselves and society in the future.

Mrs. Obasanjo who gave the advice during her condolence visit to the Abioduns said children who are adequately educated would be a source of joy not only to their parents, but the society at large.

She said it was time for all Nigerians, irrespective of their tribe or social standing to join hands and lift the country up, as Nigeria has the potentials to be great.

Responding on behalf of the family, Governor Dapo Abiodun, said with his father's transition, he has joined the fatherless club, though unwillingly, adding that the visit was a balm that would help in soothing the family in this trying time.

Prince Abiodun described his father as a humble and God-fearing, disciplined and focused person who lived for his family and community.

"My father taught at different levels of education. Education was his first love and teaching his ministry. He was disciplined and focused. He used his profession to affect lives positively. We will miss him", he said.

While noting that his father believed that life was transient, the Governor said God has appointed time for everyone, charging all to make the best of their time while on earth, as each one would give account of his/her stewardship.

"My father believed that life is transient and we most impact positively on others. Let us think of how we will be remembered. What will people say about us after we might have gone. My prayer is that God will grant us the grace to fulfill our destiny", he noted.

Others who visited the Governor are the former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Dimeji Bankole, former Governor of Ogun State, Gbenga Daniel, Chairman, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND), Kashim Imam, Senator Sefiu Kaka, Dr. Doyin Ogungbe and Gboyega Isiaka Nasir, among others.
