Shagamu Court In Ogun Summons Osinowo And 3 Others
Ogun State High Court in Sagamu, Ogun State, has summoned Lekan Osinowo, the Councilor-elect for ward 3, Iperu Remo, on the Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State.Independent Electoral Commission (OSIEC) and the All Progressive Congress (APC) over alleged substitution of names.
The Ogun State High Court summoned the defendants to appear in Court before Monday, over alleged substitution of names filed by Olaleye Babatunde, who is also member of the All Progressive Congress, APC.
Babatunde claimed to be the winner of the councillor primary election for ward 3, Iperu Remo, which was held on the 18th of May, 2021, stating that his name was allegedly substituted for Lekan Osinowo.
Babatunde urged the Court to look into the act, calling it unconstitutional act.
In the hearing notice by the court, the Court has set Monday, which is today August 2, 2021, as the hearing date for the matter and also urges all the parties in the suit to be present in the Court today.
