Traditional rulers meet on insecurity, others
Traditional rulers from the Ijebu speaking areas of Epe and Ikorodu divisions of Lagos State will this week convene a meeting to discuss the security and prosperity of the zones.
Expected at the meeting are the Ayangburen of Ikorodu, Oba Kabiru Shotobi; the Alara of Ilara Epe, Oba Olufolarin Ogunsanwo; the Oloja of Epe, Oba Kamorudeen Animashaun; Aladeshoyin of Noforija, Oba Babatunde Ogunlaja; and other prominent obas in the zones.
The rotational meeting, which will be held at Solu-Alade in Ibeju Lekki, will be hosted by the Onisolu of Solu-Alade Kingdom, Oba Adebowale Balogun.
He told reporters that at the meeting, they will discuss, among others, the security of the zone, which is strategic to the economy of the state; prosperity of the indigenes and how they can seek the progress of the area.
Oba Balogun said the meeting coincides with his first anniversary on the throne of his forefathers.
He hailed Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for developing the state.
