False News of Death of Dr Yinka Ayefele Disheartening to Chairman of Fresh Nigeria Limited
Dr Yinka Ayefele, Chairman of Fresh Nigeria Limited, expressed shock over a false video on Tuesday that declared him dead.
Reacting to the fake news on WhatsApp, he asked: “What will they gain from spreading a rumour of my death?”
His phone kept ringing Tuesday while hosting his regular radio show, as his fans and admirers called to confirm the news.
Well wishers rained curses on the originator of the video and prayed for him to continue living in good health.
Comrade Ademola Babalola and his wife, Mrs. Monsurat, Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, respectively, in Oyo state, reacted to the video.
Security operatives at the Western Nigeria network, code-named Amotekun Corps in Iwajowa area of the state, thwarted an attempted burglary said to have been inspired by the fake news.
