A 28-year-old man, Adeyemi Babatunde, has been arrested by men of the Ogun State Police Command for allegedly defiling his five-year-old daughter.
The suspect was arrested after the mother of the victim lodged the complaint at Ijebu-Mushin’s Divisional Headquarters.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, SP, Abimbola Oyeyemi disclosed this in a statement on Thursday.
Oyeyemi said that the victim’s mother noticed her daughter has been complaining of pain whenever she wanted to urinate.
The PPRO added that the mother further lamented that her daughter groans whenever she was bathing for her and that she touched her private part.
“The victim’s mother said having noticed this, she pressurised the little girl to tell her what happened to her private part.
Oyeyemi said “It was then the victim informed her that her father laid her on the bed and inserted her manhood into her private part when the mother was not at home.
It was further gathered that the suspect has confessed to commiting the crime but claimed to have done it unconsciously.
