Admission Seeker Raped, Killed In Ogun
A 20-year-old admission seeker, Miss Temitope Elemide, has been reportedly raped and killed in her family house in Bosero community in Odeda LGA of Ogun State.
Sources said the incident occurred on Sunday when men of the underworld stormed the residence where she was alone, raped the woman and smashed her head.
A source said Miss Elemide was preparing for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) at the time of the incident.
The police spokesman in the state, Omolola Odutola, who confirmed the incident to our correspondent on Wednesday, said, “There was a suspected murder report on the 25th of February, from Odeda. They found the lifeless body of Temitope Elemide (20) inside the room stabbed with a knife on her head and body.
“There is one Jamiu Salihu (29), the boyfriend, who is suspected to have committed the crime. He was seen coming out from the bush on the day of the crime while finding a clue to the murder.”
The Chairman of Odeda LGA, Dr Folashade Adeyemo, who condemned the killing, urged the police and other security agencies to bring the perpetrators to book.
