President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has commended Governor Charles Soludo for his impeccable and incredible leadership qualities, which have been demonstrated through his infrastructural development and transformation of Anambra, making it an emerging  Dubai-Taiwan Silicon Valley of the country.

The President made the assertion at a town hall meeting with the state's prominent indigenes and leaders at Sir Alex Ekwueme’s Square, Awka, after commissioning the newly built Government House and Lodge. The massive complex(a city within a city) incorporates the Deputy Governor’s building, the Governor's house and office, and 24 other structures, including a world-class amphitheatre and an auditorium. Also commissioned was the sprawling Solution Fun City in Awka, designed for the people of Anambra to enjoy and play, as well as road constructions in the state.

While commending Governor Soludo for the numerous achievements in the state, President Tinubu, who was overwhelmed by what he saw, said, "Anambra is rising, and we are ready to work with you," signalling his confidence in Governor Soludo and his administration.

According to President Tinubu, the governor's transformation of vital sectors of the state's economy including education, and health, where Soludo was recognised as the most performing governor in primary healthcare in the Southeast region and overall nationally, transportation, innovation, security, agriculture, among others, demonstrates his intellectual excellence which was evident in him during the banking consolidation era when he was the erstwhile Governor of the nation's Central Bank.

He averred that when people thought Soludo's consolidation plan would be futile, he intelligently delivered to the admiration of the government, business owners, and the citizenry. That innate ability to perform wonderfully is still with him, a reason why he holds him in high esteem. "The power of one man, Mr. Solution," he remarked.

The President further averred that Soludo's excellent performance in governance has shown he is progressive, that despite the party differences, he likes achievers like him, and that they have a relationship.

In his eloquent and powerful speech, Governor Soludo thanked the president for his friendship and visionary leadership. He added that his party, APGA, an older progressive party than the APC, has a policy of aligning with the central government. He reminded the massive crowd that in 2015, APGA made a decision to support the government at the centre, adding that the policy had not changed. He said that as a federalist with the principle of progressivism, his ideology aligns perfectly with that of “the new hope” agenda of the Federal government. Which is reflected in his government.

At the event, prominent state indigenes extolled him for his numerous achievements and called for his second term in office in the forthcoming gubernatorial election in November.

They praised him for the numerous road constructions connecting various communities and flyovers in Anambra, the building of new general hospitals with telemedicine equipment and skilled healthcare personnel, the construction of smart schools with free education and employment of over 8,200 teachers, and the digitisation of the state's judicial system.

Other areas include regenerating towns and cities with modern drainage systems to ease flooding and erosion, providing pipe-borne water to communities across Anambra, effective security operations, such as the state's security system, Agunaechemba, and Operation Udo Ga-Achi, which has restored peace to the state, and youth empowerment schemes.
